Love Love Love Love!!!! Ok, so We all know Valentines day was fun when we were actually "in love" but we all know it is way MORE fun when we have kids to share it with! If you don't I am sure the man,Or women... ( men we know you read out blog! ;) ) would appreciate and feel special with one or all of these treats! :)

This looks ridiculously cute, all though I am unsure of where you would get small candy canes at this time of the year... if you know please comment!

To make: Lay 2 candy canes down into a heart shape on wax paper. Place a Stick between the bottom of the 2 candy canes and pour melted chocolate between, Sprinkle crushed peppermint on the chocolate before it hardens... Tie a little ribbon and love it!

Here are some more fun ideas we found! We hope your child has love up to their ears this Valentines day and every other!

Definition of Love: 1 Corinthians 4:13 (Read it in our Spring issue March 1st!)
Cut cookies into Hearts, Make cake pops heart shaped, stick arrows through cupcakes! the possibilities are endless! :)

FUN photography idea :)

I had so much fun doing Landice's hair last year for Valentines day when I learned this little technique. When you get the simple method down the possibilities are endless! :) Her teachers all commented as soon as they saw it and we often do heart ponies still :)

To start you will need to do a topsy tail but upside down... Make a pony tail and pull it loosly... stick 2 fingers down from the top between the scalp and the hair tie. Make sure there is no hair between your fingers. Grab the pony tail with both fingers and pull upward...

The pony tail will come out of the top..

Split the hair evenly in half and decide which way you want to make your heart, Loose hair, Braid or twists...

Drape the hair into a heart shape and secure with a hair tie at the bottom... You will want to secure the top of the heart to the head with bobbi pins so they don't fall throughout the day... Here are some fun ways to do it...

Use two and make heart piggies! :) My favorite... put fun ribbon at the bottom

Braided and non braided... :)

(This hair style is so cute, but would be even better on our boutique models!!!)

YUMMY LOVE

Ok, when I saw these, I HAD to share!

Coming from The blog
In Between Laundry

PS: To make your s'mores heart-shaped, use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to slowly and evenly apply pressure and punch through the graham cracker. Then lay them on a baking sheet and place chocolate chips and pink (or white) marshmallows on top. Broil until marshmallows puff up and start to brown slightly. Sandwich your s'mores together and insert popsicle sticks. Cool.

For The LOVE of another... Chocolate!

I have been making Chocolate covered strawberries for a gift and party favor for a while. They are never left standing and SUPER easy and affordable to make! In honor of Love day coming we wanted to share some fun and ideas to present to your sweeties, your parents, your kids, your friends, co workers or any person you decide to show care for this V-day :)

First, start with some fresh strawberries (Don't worry, we are American, we always have strawberries "fresh" somewhere)

You will need to choose your desired method of melting chocolate and which kind of Chocolate to use, if you have a Winco around they carry melting chocolate in their bins, another great place is Michaels Craft stores (Don't forget your coupons!)

You can use chocolate chips but the chocolate will not harden like the melting chocolates...

TIME TO MELT:
This is probably the most difficult part, but if you are patient and do it right you will be fine... If you don't have a double boiler, I have found that placing a small pot inside of a larger pot works perfect... Fill the large pat an inch with water and place the melting chocolate into the small pot, Heat on medium and stir constantly...

Once you have melted your chocolate, place it in a small, tall container so you can dip
     your strawberries completely in...

Place your Strawberries on their side on a piece of wax paper and let dry if you are going to only drizzle chocolate
on top... If you are deciding to go crazy you will need to roll the strawberries when they are still wet...

If you are drizzling, Place a soon inside a contrasting chocolate color and quickly wave the spoon gently over the laid out strawberries...
DECORATE

Here are some fun ideas you can try...  Color White chocolate pink for a more V-day feel (Try blue for a baby shower or red, white, blue, for 4th of July) Roll in anything you can think of! Peanut brittle, peppermint pieces, sprinkles, Crushed chocolate, coconut...

Dry Drizzling... Peanut Butter or caramel...

Don't stop there, extend this method onto other lonely treats... Wrap these in cellophane and throw on a ribbon and card and you have a treat for anyone!

Put a stick in marshmallows and roll them in whatever desired... Dip Oreos or other types of cookies, Decorate the top of a cupcake, top it off with a drizzle of caramel! YUM!

         ENJOY!

We BOW Crazy in this Business!

If you are anything like me and the moms I work with in this boutique/modeling world, you have probably accumulated a pretty consuming bow/headband collection. I ran across a cute way to store them with an oatmeal canister, but I wanted to bring more options to the table because we don't mess around here at His Life... We want nothing but Creative, Cute, Innovative and Awesome! So here are some fun things I found that seem to be pretty easy to figure out how to make! ENJOY!

WE ARE DRIPPING IN BOWS

IF all else fails... Throw them in a cute basket! :)
